Last Order & Follow-Up Models
of Radio Transceiver Modules

As well known, all electrical and electronic equipment put on the market after June 30th, 2006 must meet the European RoHS (so called "PB-free") directive. Our existing OEM products of the DataUnwired line are affected by this regulation. Therefore, we have been preparing our radio modules and corresponding devices conform to these new requirements.

End of life
However, not all parts necessary for production are available in the new "PB-free technology", we have had to replace some of our devices by follow-up models, in particular HW 86010, HW 86020, HW 86050 and all devices containing these modules, e.g. HW 8655 and HW 8660.

Replacement/new models
During the design of our replacement/new models we put great value on compatibility with the existing non conforming models. Only with the new WLAN module have we had to change to a new system connector and smaller form factor. All pertaining information about continuing models, discontinued (EOL) models, replacement compatibility and release dates can be found in the adjoining documents.

As not all of the new developments will be available punctually at Juli 1st, 2006, we kindly ask our customers to consider purchasing stock prior to our having to discontinue production.

Last order date
Discontinued products must be ordered by the end of February 2006.

Spare parts
Spare parts are excluded from the RoHS regulation and will be available in the short term, however, as stocks are limited long term supply cannot be guaranteed.
