Frankfurt, 17 January 2008 --- DWW Woolworth Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Frankfurt/Main, has decided to use mobile data recording devices of the type skeye.allegro from the Skeye business division of Höft & Wessel AG to record consignment data at Woolworth branches in future.

Thanks to its light weight and convenient, one-hand operation, the skeye.allegro is ideal for stock-taking and for placing orders directly from department store shelves. The data recorded is transmitted via an ethernet communication facility to Head Office. In addition, the mobile printer supplied together with the device enables branch employees to print out labels at any given location. Delivery of the 700 devices including accessories is scheduled for completion in the Spring of 2008.

This contract award has enabled Skeye to defend its position as Germany’s market leader in the field of mobile data recording devices and to add yet another German Top 30 retail organisation to its customer base. Skeye received the award for this project following extensive application testing performed by Woolworth using devices from various suppliers. Specialist expertise and the possibility of individually customised design of the skeye.allegro are what once again enabled Skeye to prevail against international competitors of note.
