Hanover/Miami, 9/01/2009: Skeye, a business unit of the German IT and Engineering Group Hoeft & Wessel, attends U.S. retail trade fair NRF and presents its range of mobile terminals in New York, Jacob Javits Convention Center, booth 1571. Featured will be the highly successful CE tablet PC, the skeye.pad XSL, the proven portable vending system, the skeye.pad POS, and for the first time at an international show the new self-scanning terminal skeye.dart, an innovative, customer-friendly device in PDA format.
Skeye entered the U.S. market successfully three years ago and established a branch in Miami, FL. With the skeye.pad XSL, an ergonomic 8.4" touch screen running Windows CE, and the skeye.pad POS, a high resolution display with touch and softkeys as well as a printer, the company offers two products to the U.S. with a unique focus. The CE tablet PC is in daily use in a U.S. restaurant chain as well as in a Market data collection company located in New York.
“Based on our strong position in the German and European retail market and our proven state-of-the-art product range we are actively pursuing the U.S. market,” explains Peter Claussen, COO of Hoeft & Wessel Group. “For our third presentation at the NRF fair in New York we’ve already attracted substantial interest. Based on discussions with numerous representatives Skeye forecasts an increase in sales in the U.S. this year.”

At Skeye headquarters, in Hanover/Germany, 170 engineers and IT specialists are working on R&D, which sets the pace in the company’s technological orientation and development.
