The system is foolproof: At the self checkout the customer simply signs using a signature pad and is soon authorised to take his purchased items home. After the signature is saved, he selects the payment type where he can choose between cash or debit entry. The non-cash payment process is completed with a receipt.

Reliability and Service-Friendliness:
To offer a highly reliable and user-friendly system Höft & Wessel refrains from using a PC for its self checkout system. Inside the checkout terminal there is an Intel Xscale processor which has already been successfully used in Höft & Wessel‘s mobile and stationary ticketing systems.
